The good news is that our discount is now 14 cent per litre off Statoil's scheduled price! That's a huge achievement considering we started the motorcard a little over 6 months ago on a discount of 11.5 cent per litre and a great testament to the 3,000+ of you who have applied and are already using the card.

The bad news is that petrol is on the increase again. Wholesale prices went up by 2.2 cent this week and early indicators is that there will be another rise next week so stock up early!

Over the past few months many of you have contacted us to say that the motorcard price is not as good as your local Tesco (apart from the second two weeks in February where we were actually better!).

We have spoken to Statoil about it but unfortunately we are not yet anywhere as big as Tesco on the number of litres we buy (yet). Keep up the support and we will reap the benefits. However, for those of us who have to travel more than 20km to a Tesco site or just don't want to join the huge queue's of Taxi's that seem to always be there, the Motorcard is offering really good value.

Remember - The fixed price ensures that wherever you use the card, there is a cap on the maximum amount that you can be charged. The only time it’s different is if the pump price is lower and you are automatically charged the cheaper of the two. So if you are already a Statoil customer, you can't lose!
